- Carefully clean the whole protective machine window. Remove oil residue, dust and chips completely, for coarse soiling, we recommend cleaning with 99.9 % isopropanol. Use the provided microfibre cloth for final cleaning. The protective window must be completely dry and free of grease. The clear view disk will almost stick by itself. Airpockets will arise when the window was not completely free of dust.
- A protective foil is covering the adhesive surface. Remove 1/3 of the protective foil at the red pull-off tab and press it against the desired position on the inner side of the machines window. Do not touch the adhesive surface.
- Slightely pressing against the outside surface of the clear view disk helps to finish the process. Use the delivered scraper to stick the clear view disk onto the inside of the machines window. Remove the protective foil. Use the scraper to remove single air bubbles.
Care To maintain the clear view disk use only water regularly to clean the glass. Maintaining is important to preserve the effect. Use the delivered microfibre cloth for cleaning, for coarse soiling, we recommend cleaning with 99.9 % isopropanol.
Intended use and instructions
This clear view disk is intended for use in machine tools for machining with cooling lubricants on a water-oil basis.The clear view disk is attached to the inside of the machine´s protective screen as a supplement.
She is not a replacement for the machine protective screen and must not be used to repair a defective machine protective screen.
Dry machining and very sharp chips e.g. when high feed milling can damage the surface and reduce the beading effect.
When removing the transparent protective screen, small residues may stay on the machine protective screen in exceptional cases.
The clear view disk is not intended for use in ATEX zones.
